I'm talking about the newer 2004 and up models. These don't blow the plugs out. They just seize up in the heads so they NEVER come out without lots of work.

Even with never seize they still freeze up? If I do buy the truck, im gonna have them change the plugs, flush the tranny, coolant, new diff fluid, new t case fluid, check the ball joints, yadyadayada. Theres no way im spending that much money on a truck that could need work in the near future, tired of working on my shitbox GMC it never ends, ill never buy another GM truck.

well i got a 24 valve 5.9 cummins from 06 truck has 115k on it and it has never let me down... let me put it this way the engine is gold and honestly everything else (even for it being dodge) isnt too bad... suspension work obviously at this mileage is expected and i just reded the original u-joints the other week.. aside from the instrument cluster tach being out of whack (which apparently is only the 2006 model) and the turn signal switch its been a really great truck... had to travel down to tennessee to pick it up tho.. but very much worth it

I wouldnt mind having a nice clean cummins, problem is that everyones on a diesel kick right now, everyone wants one, so the prices are very high for high mileage diesels. Or kids have already ruined the truck with a lift, stacks, programmers and stupid shit like that.

Turns out the truck is a shit box anyways, Nasty rusty frame, and they took a rattle can and painted the frame in the wheel wells to make it look clean, found muffler weld putty allover the muffler, the exhaust was ready to rot clean off the truck, little dents everywhere I asked them if it was plowed with and they said NO NEVER. I crawled under the truck and you can see where the plow frame was bolted up on the frame, cock suckas, I would never recommend anyone to ever buy a car from there.

The guy at the dealership got pissed cuz i called him out on all the bullshit he tried to pull on this truck. Idk about everyone else, but when Im looking at buying a vehicle, I go through them with a fine toothed comb. Except for my gmc, winter was right around the corner and I needed a truck, it was pretty cheap, so I bought it. You get what you pay for I guess.

you are absolutely right about all that crap they do to them... thats ultimately why i had to travel so far to get mine, otherwise it would be something modded and hacked for a truck i need to be reliable...

Sounds like just about any used car dealer out there. Good find though man, not many would've gone into such details.
