When the car is done I'll get plenty of pro pics. Long as you don't wrap it around a pole, tree, fence ect.... You can take her for a spin (with me in passenger seat of course).

That would be awesome, no fear of me doing anything stupid in it. I never beat on other peoples things, I don't wanna be the one who hurts it. Thats why I have my toys to destroy lol

But it would be a cool experience to drive it! Closest thing to an exotic Ill ever get to drive

Shy of a SSC or a Bugatti, the GTM will smoke most any exotic. In stock form it is faster then an Enzo and my car is far from stock. Car and Driver tested a stock LS1 at 3.5sec 0-60 quarter in 11 flat. The 505 LS7 did it in 2.9 I will have at least 150 more hp the the LS7 GTM. All that said, my dream car is still a Ferrari 355 (slow... but beautiful) and they have fallen so far in price that they are about the same cost as a stripped C6.

But the Ferrari Parts tag is ridicullouuuuuus

I just read an article that one guy had to replace the headers twice in 5K miles.... $6K per side.... Yup that's right $24K in maintenance over 5K miles.... just paid 1/2 the cost of the car right there......

Brakes.... I'm pretty sure they're carbon Fiber... Probably $1K/pad and they probably call for replacement 2x annually

A great car but in no means affordable just because they can be found cheap

Ohhh and your GTM is much cooler - Very nice color choice

I agree the 355 is a maintenance pig, the 360 was leaps above it in lack of hidden ownership costs. The 355 requires every 15k an engine out $7500.00 tune up. With the 360, every thing can be done leaving the engine in. But to me the 360/430 is a dog compaired to the sexy lines of the 355. The sound of the 355 has to be the best of any car ever produced. Best bang for the buck is the 02-06 Maserati Coupe and Gransport, it has a retuned F430 engine, sounds great, has a timing chain not a belt, regular service intervals like any car and are rare while still being inexpensive. All that said the 355 will still be in my garage when looking too successful is not so damaging to my business. Image is everything in my line of work, too much is just as bad as not enough. I need to walk a fine line depending on my clientele.

And thanx the GTM is killer and with the LS lump between the rails, parts will always be available and reasonable.

I've driven my share of GTM's. They can take exotics but I still feel they are slow with LS7 motors in them.

There are Camaros on here that I am sure will take my GTM to the woodshed. It is a sexy car with all the attributes of an exotic that is attainable by the common man. That said, 600+ wheel hp/tq pumping through my turbo should be dangerously intoxicating.
