Its completely separated with no connection. Im gonna throw a jack under there to see what the problem is. Maybe ill take some pics, prob would help.

Sounds like you just need to cut the wires back where to where they are intact, get an extra extension and splice the ends onto the ends of the fresh wires. You may need an extra extension to replace the missing length of wire you cut out/shredded.

Shouldn't be too difficult IIRC it's three wires.

THEN I would also suggest a second extension to move the wires away from the exhaust, or it's already long enough, make sure to tie them back so you don't run into this problem again.

Im lucky the only piece that burned was another extension so i just took my leftover one i had and popped it on but i used some metal wires to hold it against the body.
