Fbody owners are comparing the best times recorded (with good 60's) ever with a stock ls1 compared to avg magazine times done on stock tires on zero mile engines. You dont catch and then pass a car that has enough power to post up 5mph better trap speeds.

To give you reference 5-6 mph is the difference between a stock ls1 and a stock honda s2000. If you replaced the camaro in this video with an S2000 and the ford with a camaro.. I think you'de feel much different and you'd prob be laughing at the honda guys who think their car is faster than a camaro.

Of course this is an Fbody site and its not unbelievable but lets be realistic here guys. I think if anything the fbody has some mods. Lid/exhaust/tune maybe gears would be all it needs to make the difference

Again GT 500, 12.8 @ 120+

Here is another vid of one done by Evolution performance. Its the first one into the 11s. From what I gather it has a off road x and a catback, tune, and some other goodies. Plus not too mention it has really light weight bogarts

Not too sure about that one though. I got this vid from another lsx site and it didnt say anything about it being cammed. All though it would make much more sense.

There are too many factors to consider, weight, gearing, tires, suspension etc. HP means jack shit at the race track, it depends on where the HP comes in, where it peaks and how the car is set up. The biggest problem I see with the 5.0 is it is still an OHC engine and down low it is gonna get beat up by a pushrod engine. I am sure ti will have the same achilles heel the 4.6 and the 5.4 do, you need to turn more RPM to get em going.

I wonder how much aerodynamics come into play as well?

That EP car was all over yellow bullet and it is not cammed. They've been playing with the TI- VCT a lot!
