that new setup is sweet, pretty genius design to simplify things. I am doing the 24x swap junkyard style just gotta buy efi connections reluctors. I am doing it for tune-ability with boost. if you are keeping your car simple I don't think its worth it, I've never had a problem with my opti. Its just more likely to pre-detonate and destroy my hypereutectic pistons with the old opti setup. well see what happens i guess..

I had emailed the guy that designed the system and he said the tuning is the same way you tune a LS engine. I have replaced the original opti on my car and few years ago not for it not working just because when I opened it up there was oil inside so I decided to change the opti with a new GM one. I'm thinking of the future with the engine because of the price of optis and not many manufacturers are making new reliable ones.

My biggest issue is the tuning is more expensive. I'm always trying something different and making my car faster but I can tune it myself with very inexpensive software. If I wanted to tune myself with this system the software is what $500 for EFI Live vs. $80 for Tunercats.

Exactly. This is why I've kept my opti for so long. But now that I'm going to be putting boost to this engine I want a better setup to tune and make sure things don't go kaboom.
