Emissions question...
Ok so driving the car here lately, even after the plug change, I've been noticing the car is running a bit on the rich side. Noticed some black on the back of the car and the smell of the exhaust, as much as I love it, is the main indicators. Also noticed that every so often sitting at a light, it will idle a bit on the rough side. So I hooked up the scanner and noticed that it's throwing a P0161 and it's pending as well. It's the O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction Bank 2 Sensor 2, post cat O2 sensor.
Now I know the pre-cat o2 sensors can create a lean or rich condition as well as "limp mode" rich. Now will/can the post-cat sensors do the same and cause the same condition creating my symptoms?

Absolutely. Use the scanner to see if they are reading switching etc

Got a cheap scanner that basically just reads the codes. Will pull the plug and check voltage and resistance through the sensor as well. From the looks of them they've been in there a while so bet it couldn't hurt to change it.

By the time you replace a few useless sensors it would pay for someone like myself to just tune the car and delete that useless crap. And the car will probly run better anyways.

Unfortunately this is my daily driver so downtime with the car is costly to me right now. Workload still pretty heavy for ya man or do you have some openings coming up in the near future? Thinking I might have to give you a call here or even swing by sometime with it.

Swing by dons shop. He will look at it. It could throw a code for one sensor and another one(upstream o2) is just fouled. And without proper tools and the knowledge to use them. You will throw good parts at it to not fix the problem. Causing more downtime and money.
