I kinda feel like these people take all the fun out of these cars but whatever floats their boat I guess.

Yep. It's a weird little world. Not much fun, but technically interesting.

Some stuff can be fascinating. Like how guys built these cars in the 60's, or as my son erroneously says...."back in the black & white days". lol

TRUE ^^^^^^^^

The 2016 Camaro Nationals are coming up in exactly 60 days. I got so burnt out two years ago that I didn't go back last year.

There is a saying that the "devil is in the details" and it's the weird stuff like underbody color (don't get me started), a few incorrect bolts, and rear sail panels where when it was reupholstered the pleating went in the wrong direction. However, a few things make no sense to me, like on the rear stripes I was deducted for "corners not sharp" which when I compare my rear stripes to original pics I can't tell what the deduction is for.

Jeff68 has helped me out in a huge way in figuring things out!!!!

With Jeff's help, the good news is that I should be about 50 points away from hitting Legends Gold and I should have more than enough stuff straightened out to hit it.

Yep. It's on June 24th and 25th.

It's the first time that it's not on the same days as the GM Nationals.

It's a week a way and there's about 5 small items that I forgot about like the seat latches that they said were in poor condition. They have to be sent out to be plated.

Another thing is that there is a lot of conflicting info on the flashers. There are two flashers:

1) Hazards on the fuse panel
2) Turn Signals under the dash

Trying to sort it all out, I think that:

Fuse panel/Hazards - Tung-Sol 552 or Signal-Stat 170
Underdash/Turn Signal - Tung-Sol 224

So.....unless I figure something else out, that's what I'm going with.

The Z did great in Legends judging this year. It jumped right over gold and made platinum!!! I don't believe that very many cars have made it that far.

The score was 98.5%.

I have not slept much this past week and I am beyond tired. As soon as I can think clearly, I will post pictures. I ended up being parked between a lemans blue Yenko (with a numbers matching engine and rear end) and a lemans blue COPO and that made for some really cool pics that I haven't taken off the camera yet.

I looked through the judging records and I believe only 14 cars including my Z have ever made platinum in Legends which is a 5000 point class.

It was awesome being parked between a Lemans blue Yenko and a Lemans blue RS COPO. There were 201 Yenko Camaros sold directly out of Yenko Chevrolet and I was told by the owner that it was one of 3 known to have it's original engine.

Having the other COPO car in the pic is the icing on the cake.

That is a once in lifetime pic for the Z!

That's insane!!! Congratulations again buddy! From a detailers prospective I can appreciate the time involved to make those cars what they are. I would love to attend someday as a spectator.
