It may be a good negotiating tactic but I would be very reluctant to go to meet someone I didn't know that I found on Craigslist with a large amount of cash.

I always have to "go to the bank" when I meet someone off craigslist list and am gonna pay cash lol

yeah when meeting strange/shady people off CL with the prospects of making a deal a small amount of cash nearby is good. a lot of cash might not be so smart.

he's a tool that needs to learn how to sell a car. i drove an hour and arranged for a ride back when someone 3 hours away wanted to buy my truck.
