Welding
taking a welding class so I can actually make a good weld for a change lol.

Dawg....find out what the best welding helmet is. My welding really sucks and I think it's because I can't really see what I'm doing with my cheap helmet.

not for nothing. but i dont weld what i see i go by feel and sound more then sight. just a tip.

LOl probly my problem too ( i got an elcheapo weld helmet)
Miller sells some real nice ones for a couple hundred bucks. autodarkening

yeah i say a helmet will help you if your starting out. all i look for is the puddle control the rest is feel. if its spitting dragging etc. thats all feel.

And yes, autodarkening helmets are a great plus!
But, like pizza said, feel/sound is the key

harbor freight sells an auto darkening helmet for $35-$50 depending on the sale of the week... definitely worth it.
