Pulled t56 out and weird clip fell out can u identify?

Attachment 1099So i pulled my t56 due to a rear main seal blowing oil on my clutch as i seperated the trans from bellhousing this clip was on the floor? im unsure of if it fell from inside the tranny or is just part of the car somewhere?

spring clip for the throw out bearing. it probably means the throw it isnt held into the clutch diaphragm/spring

thanks pizza but i am still confused and cant seem to find where it gos any more info or a pic maybe or a forum i can look at? driving me crazy not noing where this went

yea this clip theres no way would even come close to going around the throwout and looks nothing like that thanks though !! BigMac and Pizza

Now its a metal ring that goes around the throw out bearing that keeps it in the clutch without the fork installed. Hard to explain. Ill try and find a pic.....

To me the clip looks diformed. It used to be round.

Pizza are u talking about the c clip that connect the throw out to pressure plate? if so thats intact. this clip is about the size of a small spring clip for paper about inbetween a half dollar and a quarter size looks like a cotter pin but justa tad bigger ?

Unless some jack ass used it to hold something in place wen installing the tranny/clutch. And it doesn't go anywere.

yea thanks pizza once again !!! i dont think it could go newhere either . thinking they used it to hook the fork to throwout theres a slot in the fork t pivot that this clip slides into to maybe pust the fork up ? and maybe they dropped it in the housing?
