I think I phrased that wrong. What I heard is that new springs can be a little stiffer than whats advertised, then after a little break in they would be right where they are supposed to be.

Today I measured the install heights for my springs(918s). They all came out between 1.8 and 1.785. So with those numbers I'm thinking a .060 shim would be good for my cam (.561/.564). That works...
