So, I applied for this thing that Northeastern University offers for undergraduates, "Research Experiences for Undergraduates." I ended up getting a call with them telling me they want to offer me a position, IN PUERTO RICO.
I wanted to do the project in Boston, they pay for your housing and I'd get a feel for the school before I transfer there in the fall. But damn Puerto Rico??? I would be getting paid to go there, paid housing provided by University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez, and $4500 stipend and I would be there this summer from June 6th to August 12th at the University of Puerto Rico doing research on explosives detection (homeland security stuff). Huge decision for me, should I reject an awesome opportunity and miss summer, or should I take it miss summer and, idk.. benefit from it in the long run I guess. I have never traveled out of the country, and they want me to decide by tomorrow >.< What do yall think?
