The problem is being upside down on the loan. I see it alot with impulse buying.
Always think about what your buying and how much it's worth when you drive it away. If you are going to buy a car for $10k and you know it's worth $7k as soon as you drive it. Put down a minimum of $3k or don't buy the car. Also don't fall into the 4-5 year payment plan.It will take years before you can dump the car. Loans are hard today.They are not risking much anymore. Best is to make triple payments on the car till it's in the range to trade.. Or total it.
