I feel bad for you guys, my power went out for only a few hours sat. The School and shopping plaza located 1 mile on each side of my house both don't have power. I'm lucky i guess.

I took the cover off the generator and my guess is that the bearing on the end is making all the rattling noise. It's sounding like a garbage disposal but thankfully is still working. The wife and kid are getting cabin fever and todays big trip was to Tractor Supply in Mass to buy a chain sharpener for the chainsaw. What fun. NOT.

actually a bit lucky this round. only had a few flux in power on Sat. maybe 4" of the slushy muck. had no cable for a few days, but most people I know didn't get it back till today, others might not till the weekend.

Weak trees, heavy slushy snow and loose soil. Friend of mine has a tree service company and has been loaded with work since Irene. We can live without power, but not heat so glad I got a fresh delivery of seasoned firewood 2 weeks ago.

I was lucky, only lost power for one day. Been cleaning up various properties at work this week and haven't even scratched the surface. Springfield got hit really hard. Here's some pics from work:

I got one that is a powered sharpener that uses your vehicles 12 volt battery!
I would gladly loan it to ya.

That's the kind I bought. Thanks for the offer though. Do you have power at home yet? My inlaws in Canton and my mom in New Hartford got theirs on last night.

Got power back yesterday supposedly. We made the decision to move up our trip to CA and flew out a day early.

Managed to get a shower in @ the firehouse, on Mon. But I did see they set up the decontamination showers on Tues. as well.

Definately nuts with the amount of trees down...

Power/water/heat here

Power is supposed to be restored here by Sunday, but I haven't seen any CL&P people in granby. Hopefully they'll arrive soon.
