LQ4 Swap 99

So i'm starting my LQ4 turbo swap this weekend and do I need to use an LS oil pan? What other things need to be put in here to swap over? i might build the motor a little for now or just buy another 6.0 and build that while this one is racing this spring. But still up in the air on the turbo size thinking s88 or s91 not really sure. I have a lot of work to do but will have it all done hopefully by April-May

What do u plan on doing with this car? Drag? Road race? Street? Also yes you need a fbody pan

Drag race I will once and a while drive it on the street. But Also getting a cage put in

With a standard spooling a big turbo like that might be a bitch. I would probably call borg warner or turbonetics with your hp goal and see what they would recommend for a six speed. Maybe ask Don he built a couple. I think purevl had a t88 on his that seemed to spool well or an s80 i can't remember.

Ya i kind of want to keep the 6 speed but i know it isnt going to be as fast at all! so i should just do a th400 or something. Turbos suck with the manual. So prob will switch to the auto i know it will be boring but id like to run low 9's this year

On a 6.0 the S88 or S91 will be a dog. Better choice will be a T4 flange 80mm setup. We did run a T88 on Mikes car but it was a 408ci motor.

Thanks I appreciate that i'll pull the motor and tranny this weekend hopefully and start selling parts. I most likely will take u up on that offer lol
