Yeah newer cars, my 96 Bonneville i had was a 3k car, my 01 Camry is a 3k car. My fathers 08 lexus goes between 6-10k before the oil change light comes on. When i GF bought her new 2010 escape oil didn't have to change hers until around 12k into it...crazy.

From what i heard if you have been using Regular oil its whole life then switch to synthetic oil, it can create oil leaks... Something about how it cleans better or something. Idk if its true or not, someone on here should know.

Anyways im Test driving a 1999 SC2 Two door 5-speed this week. Thing has 133k miles on it they are asking 3,000. Thing is pretty much fully loaded even has a sunroof.
