Well the harness was definitely fucked with so that's a possibility. As for the crank sensor I don't know what to think.

Haha yea damn motor was either replaced or they thru a diff cover on it.
I think the motor was replaced to be honest. the ckps plug is there its just zip tied to the k member. this is what id need to do, get the ckp sensor, timing cover, reluctor, crank gear key and crank hub from a 96 or tune it out i say i tune it out lol!!!
another thing -knock sensor resistance (96 is 100Kohms, this motor is reading 4.5Kohms)=95 earlier? do i need a 96 knock sensor?

-vacuum switch for EVAP purge detection (96 only) right im missing this two
is there a way to see what year my pcm is maybe they swapped that too?
WTF WTF WTF

if you have an ckp code its still a 1996 ecm. 1995 and back didnt have them. i still say take care of the pending codes with the opti and move onto the next thing. and wen your done have a madz tune done. probably the cheapest way to go as far as tune. and they do a Way better job at mail order then PCM FOR LESS!!

Ok so i finished tracing the wires thru out the car and i finally found out where these orange/black and blue wires go. They are from a box under the dash called a omega sr 7k remote start unlock keyless entry crap . they tied it in to the opti harness when it was supposed to go to battery pos and blue is for a hood switch? other than that all is fine but still no shift in tranny? speedo is off by 15 mph and gage lights dont work also have check gages light on ?
