Default Scan tools

What's all the cool kids using nowadays for auto scanners? I have an Actron 9125 that basically only reads and resets codes. Would like to move up to something better without spending an arm and a leg. Preferably something that can monitor sensors in real time, guessing like the CP9575. Looking to get a bit more involved with my car diagnostically as far as where sensors should be and actually are.

Suggestions on what you have and what you love or hate or wish yours had would help.

Thanks!

Edit:
Ok so I just bought a cp9575 from Actron via eBay. So far that looked like about the best bet for what I want to do without going over what I want to pay for one.

I use a Snap On ETHOS for my own uses and I have a Snap on MODIS at the shop.

I also like the scan tool MAC sells but forgot the name of it.

I love my Ethos, its small, easily portable, boots instantly unlike the Modis, however it doesnt have Bi-directional controls like the modis does.

Anybody use the Torque Pro scanner paired with a Bluetooth obd2 plug?

Heard some cool things about it, also the fact that you can use your smartphone as a diagnostic scanner really intrigues me.

Seen the plug going for $25 and the software is another $5 through google play. Too bad apple are whores because it would kick ass to use my ipad with it. Almost half tempted just to get the free version (lite) just to check out the basics of it. Since I just got the gs3 a few days ago, would be fun to see what this badboy can do!
