i have 3:73 gears brand new in the box but i dont wanna get this rear end and swap to 3:73s bc it will probably cost about 350-400$ to swap them..im not that mechanically inclined to do rear end gears on my own

yeah but i dont wanna screw up a rear end with a center section and axles for a gear swap..unless the 4:11s really hurt me

i can actually get a rear end w 3:42s right now out of a buddies 97 WS6 t/a only thing is its got 200k on it, however it is mint doesnt howl or leak anything, so thats a plus..or i can swap him my stock 10 bolt w 2.73s and like 100$ he said. just dont wanna get to crazy w a 200k mile rear end

well how much? I'd try to find one with lower miles. Thats a lot of cyclical loading after 200k and the axles and gears are probably quite fatigued.

Eh, I picked my 20k mile 3.42 gear for $150.
Mileage is only reason i would be worried about it.
