my lt1 went pretty good. Coulda got some better times but was babying it off the launch so i wouldnt grenade the 10 bolt. But never had a issue with the 10 bolt at all.

I have a 396 ci lt1 that puts down 385 hp and 396 tq at the tires. I raced on it with motive gear 4.10's and nittos. Babbied it and it held up. What I'm saying is he's not going to track the car every weekend. So for a street car for now spend the few hundred and get gears as well as the other shit needed to put in the 9". And have fun with it. Everyone has different opinions and different track records with 10 bolts. Some guys run them at the track 6 speed and into the 10's no problems other bolw em up doing a burn out down the road.
