I'm wondering if anyone would be up for the idea of a multi day cruise, more like a road trip. I've taken lots of road trips around the northeast and some of the places I've been would be great for an extended cruise. One in particular I was thinking about was a trip I took in 2010. I went to Pennsylvania and drove Route 6 across the northern part of the state to the Allegheny National Forest, then up into western New York and the Finger Lakes region. There were lots of cool stops along the way, some of the most memorable were Pine Creek Gorge in PA and Watkins Glen State Park in NY. It would make for a great 4-5 day cruise.
This is more of a long term plan, maybe like a year or two down the road. We already have tentative plans for another cruise this year in NH anyway. Obviously this would take some planning and coordinating for people to get time off work and such. It could probably be done for a reasonable cost, we could see if hotels could give us multi room deals and/or share rooms. I would love to put something like this together, the cruises we do (like Quabbin) are some of the most fun meets we have, so why not go for five days instead of five hours? Here's an album of pics I took on that trip: http://s158.photobucket.com/user/atd...?sort=2&page=1 |

I like the idea of a multi-day cruise, but between the wife, kid, work, house, etc. etc. etc. I just can't do it.
For the next few years or so....I'm just a single day cruiser.
