agree with both ^ either ss3600 or PT 4000 but deff should drive one first. tonys car a bolt on lt1 RIPS for just bolt ons and a stall and he has a SS3600 so it kind of is up to personal preference

yes but the LT pulls way better on the low end than a LS motor

TBerry95z28 02-06-2011 02:54 PM

yea that's true

I'd put in a SS3600 and 3.73 gears. Done.

LS1Queen- your freakin nut's. PT4000 in your 99.9% street car.
If you want that you should just buy the converter I have sitting here for $300. Multidisk 4200 stall. It's loose enough for ya.

What do you think about just keeping my 3.23 gear with ss3600?

Sorry, I have nothing useful to add (had a 4200 stall vigilante in my 68, much different animal though, and everything else has or will have 3 pedals) but I had to give props on that comparison lol.

For a faster car = 3.73's.

3.23's tells me you want mostly a street car but your still looking at drag race converters.

the 3.73's will make the car tighter on the street and 60' better at the track.

Well part of it is just the ignorance of not ever having a stalled auto. Other part is wanting something thats gonna pull like a sob on top, thats why I was thinkin bout the pt but yea I realise I cant have best of both worlds. Think ima take your advice on the ss3600 and throw some 3.73 in. Would like to take it up to ya for an install but its just to far to deal with that. A tune is def possible though. Thanks for the reply.
