But I pulled the trigger on a built TH350 for the SS. Its a done deal already paid for. Iam going auto, so fuck it. I will probably be working back home so the motor might have to wait a little longer but I couldnt pass up the deal from a friend of mine down in Florida. He just rebuilt his th350 that was in his 800hp SS and decided to switch to a glide. So he sold me the trans and cooler for 600. Its fully built with the following.
Th350 w/ Reverse manual valve body and transbrake. Fresh rebuild (less than 10 miles). Has JW Heavy Duty 36 element sprag/drum assembly ($325), late model roller output sprag, long tail shaft (same length as 4L60 and T56), red clutches and new steels and a transbrake. I will be getting a nice converter and a adj tq arm along with all the other stuff soon enough. And I will be stepping the gearing down to a 3.50 or so. Plus I will have my T-56 setup for sale sometime in the summer.
