They're first in sales because they've been made to appeal to the masses (spoken yuppified). They're more concerned with creature comforts than performance these days. GM guys in general don't mind the extra cost/sales hit to keep they're pushrod power. I know I don't

My only problem here is that I want the Z. If Im gonna get the new Camaro then its gonna be the Z. Problem is THAT car will top 60k no problem AND that puts it out of the demographic the Camaro nameplate was originally designed for.

they may go nuts and rearrange the entire lineup in pricing to keep it below or around stock Vette. $$.

they would have to...its not gonna be in the same category as the vette...theres no way they would put a 60k price tag on that theyd screw themselves.

It's gonna be rediculous to have it priced anywhere near the Vettes. I know its gonna have more power than a stock Vette but it defeats the purpose of a Camaro to have it priced the way they are going to price it. The Camaro was the affordable sports car. The Z28s were the fast cars for the people who cant afford Corvette. The SS is already rediculously priced fully loaded at 42k. The Z28 will top 55k no problem which makes it an unaffordable option for most. Its unfortunate because it is such a badass car and I def do want one but GM knows the demand is going to fuck us over like always.

Expect pricing of the Z28 to exceed current SS models by at least $8,000, but not to grow anywhere near Corvette money. GM would like to keep the Camaro Z28 as its original pony car for the average-income car lover
i do think they are over pricing these cars a little(in terms of competing with the stang). but hopefully they will wake up a little bit especially since they were already in a bad slump financially before. Honestly tho the people that can afford the fully loaded SSs i dont see them having an issue buying the Z. Sucks for people that cant afford it but what can we do lol
