After doing the research that's the one that I've been using. Very high efficiency, lots of filter media, and quality parts inside. And at a reasonable price. I'm going to run a Pure One truck filter on my next oil change.

![]() Actually I was thinking about that and it occurred to me that that must be why LT1s use a shorter filter than the truck/van 5.7s. But I looked at mine and I have plenty of room, it won't be anywhere near being the lowest point on the engine, if it was sticking out past the pan I wouldn't do it. If anything the increased oil capacity should help slightly with oil temps. As an interesting side note, 4WD pickups use an entirely different filter, it even has different threads. |

Get a remote mount kit and run it under the front bumper, acts as a cooler and extra capacity lol.

Hahah yes alex you can use a truck filter. That's my setup. It won't help at all with cooling though. And its eveb debateable if you'll get bettter filtering. Fyi The 4wd truck have an angle bracket on them to clear the front diff.
