just how lucky I am
back in my days in the navy as a lowly e-3 I got bumped off this flight and to this day I alway think about it if im flying somewhere.

people I knew. they died before the A/C hit the water due to loose cargo shifting back then forward. As I recall it was a 2000lb transformer in a wooden box that broke loose.

If you've been watching planes fly your whole life it is a sickening feeling to see one loose control and reach the point where there is no chance to recover. You had some stroke of luck. All you can do is remember that every day is a gift.
