"Back in the day" when I was a greasy teenage punk (mid 60's), the popular thing to do with your cool ride was to give it a name and paint it somewhere on your car. (Maybe 'DAWG' can relate). For example, I hung around with a guy who had "THE WANDERER" painted in big letters on the rear fenders of his hot rod Mercury. But did you know that Santa was a Hot Rodder, too..?? Yep..he has a cool customized sled named "Little Saint Nick". All Summer he tunes it and gets it ready for his big night. Here's a song all about it from 1963 (I was 19 years old). Turn up the volume as HIGH as it will go...!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gU_GsIKxse0 MERRY CHRISTMAS..!! PS....The term 'sled' mentioned in the song also refers to a customized car. So old Santa had a really cool 'sled'...!! Read here... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lead_sled <> |
