Being a newbee I am not looking for a fight. But I need to disagree. Who said a stock LS3? Pat G spec'ed cam put out 481 to the wheels, add a NX 150 wet shot and you about 80hp more than a stock ZR1. An LS3 Vette can be had in the mid to upper 20's, the cam installed for $2700.00 and the NX for $1100.00. So for around 30k you have a Monster. The LS9 is basically an LS3 with an Eaton on top. Granted there is no 100k warrantee, but a crate LS3 can be had for $5800.00. One can pop 10 engines and you still ahead of the game.

Don't get me wrong, the ZR1 is awesome (and beautiful). I would love to own one but I can not justifiy over 100k for a car that looks like the 30k Vette (and might not out perform it)

You could definitely build a faster car cheaper, I just think it's a bad ass car in general. Looks great in person, as you can see in that pic it's parked next to a Z06 so you could pick out the subtle differences, vents, front splitter, roof. I was just psyched to finally see one in person.

Thats what i think as well. the price tag they drop on that thing is a joke.

No flaming but like I said dead stock did 10.2 show me a example of a car that your describing that has stock manurisms and does that.

Maybe a factory freak and good driver, but 10.26... Somethings wrong there. 10.8 to 11.2 is the test numbers I have seen (which is still fast as hell). I will let you know how it feels after the spray is installed, if it still drives near stock that is.
