LOL I think the one legitimate critique of the ZR1 is that there isn't much visually to set it apart from the much cheaper C6 and Z06. Someone who didn't know cars wouldn't know they are looking at one of the most extreme high performance cars ever built. But being a car guy I knew right away what it was and I think it's badass. And when you consider price to performance ratio the ZR1 is just like a C6 and a Z06, absolutely untouchable.

Sorry for the hyjack Formula, I remember the fist time I saw one I was in awe too.

Just one more slight detour, the GTR is ugly as shit but, hot damn is it a rocket. I'd take the Vette over the GTR but I wouldn't tempt it into a race.

You got a point there, but in a way that wouldn't be very economical, in the short run at least. They would have to dump millions and millions into new design and engineering for a car to eclipse out their star car. The vette has always been Chevys top performing super car since the 50s, and they are the only auto marker as far as I know to stick with it since the start and keep improving on it. Now I think that is much more impressive than pooping out a new design like everyone else....

And I would also like to think people without 100k see the ZR1 and decide to get a base C6 or a ZR1, not with intentions to outperform the ZR1 but to have a affordable street car LIKE it that isn't exactly as insane but.. You get it.

100k for a bunch of un-necessary shit imo unless you hit the road track every weekend. Then in that case it isn't a car about rarity and gunuinity its just a straight up thrasher car mass produced to provide as many people with insane fun around the world. That's success.

I'm gonna add to the thread jack. There is a guy that lives at my sisters apartment complex with a GTR. I saw him park in the garage and crunch his front lip on the concrete bumper thing. Sadness.

I stand behind that statement. I've never seen a GTR put up any numbers that back up the hype and price. Not to mention they will void your warantee if they find out you drag raced it.
