Had a run in with a Tesla S vs. the Z last night on the way home from work... It didn't go well for the Z
![]() Tesla driver was your typical rich asshat (my car is better than yours) ![]() But what I found most histerical was after blowing by me and then using 2/3 more stoplights to show off - about 2 miles up the road I passed him going 10 MPH below the speed limit... (He ended up seeing my tail lights after all )I bet he used all his juice for the few stoplight jaunts.... ![]() You COULD NEVER convince me to buy a $100K an all electric sports car if it can't do more than 2/3 back to back jaunts to 60mph ![]() I even remembered the Car & Driver review - They were specifically told to do one 1/4 mile run and immediately plug it in for fear of unrepeatable speed results due to power loss

That is pretty wild. I guess if you ever have to race a Tesla....go second. Sounds like a "one and done". LOL.

The thing about electric cars is the torque is instant so by the time a gas powered car gets in torgue rang to get the pulling the electric car has got to much of a jump. Fk them electric cars I see those ass hats all the time, way too much money for those cars.

I know. I know. Even the 1st 2007 Tesla's were very cool.
![]() But the price on what they consider to be a daily driver sedan hasn't come down to a price that a working man could ever afford. I think it all revolves around the battery cost. Tesla is probably breaking even on every car sold, but it's still not affordable. There have also been a bunch of battery fires, but hopefully that's all sorted out now. article: http://abcnews.go.com/Business/tesla...ry?id=20830108

Teslas are luxury performance cars. If you want a lower priced daily driver electric car you can get a Volt or a Nissan Leaf. I just saw a Roadster the other day, those are cool cars. Personally I think gearheads should embrace electric power. That's what's going to let us keep blowing donuts long after the oil has dried up. And the instant torque is fun!
