Default Home-made CAI

So I went ahead and spent about $30 for everythin used in this kit, all I had to do was cut a 1.5 foot piece of pipe, fill it with sand(which helps to prevent kinks), packed the sand REALLY tight, heat the pipe up, and bend it to where you need it. I used 3 inch sched. 20 pipe, then I scuffed it real lightly, prepped it, and painted it satin black. It came out pretty good, I just have a problem with the hood hitting it when I close it.

Wouldn't the bottom ridges effect flow though?

Not trying to be a D^%k, just wondering....

Looks good though, so if it helps, that's awsome

Im not sure....in theory I think it would affect flow, cant say for sure, all I can say is I can gurantee you that it flows alot better than the factory "donkey dong" with a k&n on the end lol leaving bass pro last night I spun first, AND most of second on 295's, which ive never had happen in my car from a launch. IDK if the intake had anything to do with it, or it was just cold out, the road was cold, and my tires were cold, OR a combination of everyting lol. I was EXTREMELY suprised lol

Sounds like it's doing something then

FYI I can spin my 275 KDWIIs right through 2nd when they're cold and they hook at 3500 RPMs into 2nd when hot.... But they pretty much hook immediately if I leave @ around 2500 in 1st...
